Potinara Island Girl (Pot. Little Toshie `Gold Country` , AM/AOS x Blc. Goldenzelle `High Noon`)
The free blooming Little Toshie has been mated with a wonderful Goldenzelle. Our goal is to produce vigorous, easy-to-bloom, compact yellows with large, fragrant blooms for several seasons. Island Girl is considered our best current new hybrid by Ted Kellogg, an AOS judge and our current Venice Area Orchid Society president. To our knowledge, this is the first registered cross using Blc. Goldenzelle `High Noon` as a parent. The results have been even better than hoped for. This is a Fender`s Flora exclusive offering.Regularly priced at $20, we offer these orchids at the 50% discount of $10.00. These are large plants in 4 inch pots, blooming-size, and are ready for 5`` to 6`` pots. Shipped out-of-pot.

C. Landate `Hot Lips` x C. schilleriana `Venice`
This is one of our most promising crosses for fragrant, spotted flowers on compact plants. C. Landate `Hot Lips` has proven itself an excellent breeder, for example we used it in our new hybrid of Cattleya Loren Fender, also available in this catalog. The foliage of this orchid is very colorful and spotted - exhibiting the color in its flowers. The plants will be compact. The photos are of C. Landate `Hot Lips`.
3 inch pot - $12.00 each

Cattleya lueddemanniana `Henrique Select`
This cattleya species is a native of Venezuela and was selected for us by Henrique Graf of Plantio la Orquidea in Caracas. This is an easy-to-bloom spring cattleya. This darker colored type is much sought after. These are established divisions of our stock plant and the photos are of this particular C. lueddemanniana. Limited availability.
5 inch pot - established divisions blooming-size - $75.00 each

Blc. (Williette Wong `The Best`, AM/AOS x Lynches River `Isle of Venice`)
Williette Wong is a personal favorite for a yellow with a red lip. This offspring of Toshie Aoki just has everything an orchid should have. Our selected Blc. Lynches River `Isle of Venice` is a large, gorgeous dark red. Blc. Lynches River is Blc. Oconee `Mendenhall`, AM/AOS x Lc. Mary Ellen Carter `Dixie Hummingbird`, HCC/AOS. This hybrid of Williette x Lynches River will produce vigorous plants that will bloom fall and spring. Bloom colors will cover the warm side of the color spectrum in reds and oranges. The large, brightly colored flowers will be fragrant. This is our first offering of our own hybrid. The photos are of our Blc. Lynches River `Isle of Venice`.
2.5`` - 3`` pot - $12.00 each

C. maxima `Venice`
Cattleya maxima is a species from Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. This lowland type is a relatively compact plant and blooms in the winter to early spring. These are established divisions of our stock plant which is a very good bloomer. The photos are of this particular C. maxima `Venice`. We also offer C. maxima `Hercules` in this online catalog.

Lc. Amethysto Beat x C. Brabantiae `El Toro`, AM/AOS
Always striving for vigorous growers and prolific bloomers, this is one of our newest combinations. Amethysto Beat is Lc. Drumbeat, a classic winter lavender, crossed with C. amethystoglossa, a bifoliate species that contributes spots, strong spikes and a high flower count (10 - 15 flowers per stem). Married to our C. Brabantiae `El Toro`, AM/AOS (Gene Crocker at Carter and Holmes Orhcids received the award on a division of our plant), these new babies will produce lots of pink/lavender flowers lightly spotted and wonderfully scented for spring. This is our first offering of these young orchids which are about 2 to 3 years from bloming. We will ship the largest and most vigorous plants first. The photos are of C. Brabantiae `El Toro`, AM/AOS.
3 inch pot - $12.00 each
